Eleonas Agricultural Cooperative was founded in 2004 and brings together 130 members who cultivate approximately 105,000 olive trees across 500 hectares in the Gargaliani region of Messinia.
Led by President Nikolaos Athanasopoulos since 2007 and supported by a four-member board, the cooperative is committed to producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil, with a strong focus on environmental awareness, consumer safety, and the welfare of its producers.
Its olive oil, known for its green and fruity character, is produced exclusively through mechanical means from the local “Vatsiko” variety, the regional name for Koroneiki olives. Cultivation follows Good Agricultural Practices and environmental management systems, ensuring traceability, hygiene, and responsible use of resources throughout every stage—from flowering and harvesting to extraction.
