Extra virgin olive oil is a type of olive oil with several varieties. Istrska bellica, Leccino and Maurino are at the forefront, with the wide aromatic range supported by olive oils of some other varieties. The taste of the olive oil is fresh and fruity, with a distinct bitter and spicy flavour and medium intensity. It is characterised by a fruity aroma reminiscent of olive fruit, apple and fresh grass. The bitterness and spiciness are well distributed and combine to taste of sweet almond. The oil is harmonious with a wide aromatic spectrum.
