MANI single-variety extra virgin olive oils are produced solely from organic Koroneiki olives from Greece. The olive trees are traditionally managed and the olives gently harvested. Cold extracted in local mills, MANI olive oils’ fresh, mildly fruity aromas of greens and nuts harmonise in many ways in cold and warm cuisine. MANI olive oils have won several international competitions.
Appreciation for man and nature has always been the basis of the Bläuel family’s economic activity. Fritz and Burgi Bläuel came to the MANI in the late 1970s in search of an alternative way of life. They soon started building an organic agriculture project with the local olive farmers and oil millers. With an entrepreneurial vision, respect for people and the cultural landscape of the MANI, and with much effort and enthusiasm, they effectively communicated to farmers the benefits of organic agriculture and the associated market opportunities, gradually gaining their cooperation and support.
The same spirit guides the next generation of the Bläuel company: Felix and Julia Bläuel are now at the helm of the company and are actively committed to developing their parents’ life’s work into modern ecological and sustainable strategies.
