Nonno Giulio is an organic extra virgin olive oil that embodies the pure essence of Sicily and a family tradition that spans generations. Founded on the legacy of Giulio Viola, born in 1932, and proudly continued by his grandson Pietro, born in 1989, this olive oil reflects passion, dedication, and deep respect for nature and inherited knowledge. Produced exclusively from olives harvested in the family’s own olive grove and cold-pressed within 24 hours, Nonno Giulio ensures exceptional freshness and quality at every stage.
This early-harvest extra virgin olive oil is made primarily from Nocellara del Belice (90%), softened by a small percentage of Biancolilla (10%), both native Sicilian olive varieties renowned for their character and elegance.
Casalicchio Farmhouse is located in the hills of Cammarata, Agrigento, at an altitude of 450–650 meters above sea level.
Owned by the same family since 1816, the estate combines centuries of tradition with a strong agricultural heritage. Since the 1990s, Francesca Borsellino and Giulio Viola developed the farm with a focus on olive cultivation, wheat, and vegetables.
In 1995, 7 hectares of olive groves were planted with nearly 3,000 olive trees, mainly Nocellara del Belice. Later, the historic farmhouse was transformed into an agritourism estate, now with over twenty years of hospitality experience.
