Lana is a single-variety extra virgin olive oil made from Istarska Bjelica olives, known for their strength, complexity, and exceptional stability. Grown in northern Istria beneath the slopes of Mount Učka, this oil reflects a distinctive terroir shaped by cooler climates, mineral-rich soils, and strong winds. It is characterised by an intense green fruitiness, with pronounced notes of freshly cut grass, green almond, artichoke, and wild herbs. On the palate, Lana is bold and structured, with a clear bitterness and a persistent, elegant pungency that highlights its high polyphenol content. Lana is ideal for finishing dishes, grilled vegetables, legumes, aged cheeses, and meat and for all who appreciate powerful, authentic extra virgin olive oil with character and depth.
OPG Krbavčić is a family-run olive oil estate from northern Istria, Croatia, located beneath the slopes of Mount Učka. Our olive groves grow in one of the northernmost olive-growing areas of the Mediterranean, where cooler climates, mineral-rich soils, and strong winds shape oils of remarkable freshness, intensity, and character.
Rooted in family tradition and careful craftsmanship, we produce limited quantities of premium extra virgin olive oil through early harvesting and cold extraction. Each bottle reflects our commitment to quality, authenticity, and the unique Istrian terroir, offering an honest expression of origin for both refined gastronomy and everyday enjoyment.
