Serralento Galega is a single-varietal extra virgin olive oil from old olive trees. The organically cultivated grove is located in the central Alentejo region. The olives for this exceptional oil come exclusively from the bird-friendly hand-harvesting at Quinta Monte Courela da Serra. No olives are purchased from other sources. The harvest takes place from the beginning of October to mid-November. The resulting delicate olive oil is slightly peppery, pleasantly bitter, and balanced with notes of pine nuts.
We are a family-run estate that organically cultivates a 20-hectare olive grove in the upper Alentejo, in the heart of Portugal. Our trees are between 70 and 300 years old and are pure Galega. In our own mill, we produce our olive oil exclusively from our daily harvest. Guided by our conviction for biodiversity and gentle cultivation, we preserve the region’s cultural landscape. In every drop, we try to capture the pure essence, climate, and character of the Alentejo.
