Istrian Bjelica is an indigenous olive variety from Istria, renowned for its robustness and high polyphenol content. It produces an intensely fruity extra virgin olive oil with pronounced aromas of green leaf, fresh grass, artichoke, and aromatic herbs. On the palate, the oil is bold and distinctive, with marked bitterness and pungency that are long-lasting yet well balanced. Thanks to its stability and expressive profile, Istrian Bjelica is highly valued in fine gastronomy and faithfully reflects the strength and authenticity of the Istrian terroir.
OPG Brčić Vilma – Vias Oliveti is a family-run olive oil producer located in Baldaši, Istria, managed by Vilma Brčić together with her family.
Under the Vias Oliveti brand, the farm cultivates around 12 hectares of olive groves, growing both indigenous Istrian and Mediterranean varieties such as Istrian Bjelica, Buža, Leccino, Frantoio, and Pendolino.
Great emphasis is placed on family-based work, continuous care of the olive trees throughout the year, and cold extraction methods that preserve natural aromas and guarantee exceptional oil quality.
Vias Oliveti olive oils regularly participate in national and international competitions, earning recognition for their excellence, purity of flavour, and authentic Istrian character—representing a perfect balance of tradition, dedication, and passion for olive cultivation.
